Traditional Uses*,**: Tansy is a bitter herb, its name deriving from the Greek word for immortality, used for digestive conditions including ulcers and internal parasites. Along with its cousin Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium), its used for treatment of migraine headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, menstrual pain, to bring on menstruation (abortefacient). Used externally as a bug repellent.
