Traditional Uses:* Considered a sacred herb of the Druids and valued so highly by the ancient Greeks and Romans, it was offered as a symbol of peace. Blue Vervain is a cooling and intensely bitter herb. This gentle nervine tonic has valued sedative and antispasmodic effects, great for calming nervous energy. Indicated for stress, anxiety, exhaustion recovery and headaches. Its bitter properties act as a liver, appetite and milk stimulant. Externally as a wound wash and for hemorrhoid relief. Avoid during pregnancy: uterine stimulant. Avoid with liver disease.
